There comes a point on every spiritual journey when we stop chasing experiences.

The visions become quieter.
The meditation becomes simpler.
The silence becomes enough.

At first we think we've lost something.

What if we've actually crossed a threshold?

Many of us begin our spiritual journey looking for signs.

We ask questions.
We seek confirmation.
We want Spirit to answer us clearly.

And often Spirit does.

But eventually something changes.

Instead of speaking only during meditation...
guidance begins showing up while we're washing dishes.
Driving to work.
Talking with a friend.
Walking outside.

Meditation no longer becomes the place where we receive.

It becomes the place where we become receptive.

I have noticed something changing recently.

Some mornings there are no elaborate visions.
Only stillness.

At first I wondered if I was somehow "doing it wrong."

Then I realized...

Spirit wasn't becoming quieter.

I was becoming more open.

The conversation was no longer confined to twenty or thirty minutes on a meditation cushion.

It had begun flowing into my entire day.

That may be one of the greatest milestones on the spiritual path—not seeing more, but needing to see less because your life itself has become the conversation.

Maybe the goal was never extraordinary experiences.

Maybe the goal was becoming the kind of person who naturally recognizes guidance wherever it appears.

The signs don't disappear.

We simply stop demanding that they arrive on our schedule.

There is a quiet confidence that develops.

Not certainty.

Trust.

Sometimes the deepest meditation is the one where nothing seems to happen.

Because what is changing isn't the vision.

It's you.

Perhaps Spirit isn't asking us to become better seekers.

Perhaps Spirit is gently teaching us how to become better receivers.

Journal Prompt

Where in my everyday life is guidance already speaking that I've been overlooking because I expected it to arrive differently?

Until next time, may you discover that the guidance you've been seeking has been quietly walking beside you all along.

With love and light,
