Sometimes we imagine that growth happens slowly.

One small step.
One small insight.
One small change at a time.

But occasionally the universe reminds us that transformation can happen much faster than we expect.

During a recent meditation, I experienced a vision that revealed just how powerful a single moment of light can be.

As I entered meditation, I found myself standing just outside my meditation sphere.

To my left stood a sunflower larger than I was, towering above the landscape. It felt ancient and alive, as though it had been waiting there long before I arrived.

Then suddenly something extraordinary happened.

The sunflower released its seeds.

Not gently.

Not slowly.

The seeds shot outward with incredible speed and force, scattering in every direction across the ground surrounding my meditation space.

Where each seed landed, it immediately took root.

Within moments the earth was covered in sunflowers — hundreds of them, stretching outward in every direction.

The transformation was instant.

What had once been a single sunflower had become an entire field.

When I stepped back into my meditation sphere and sat down, my red dragon Guadalupe wrapped herself around me as she often does, quietly watching the scene unfold.

In that moment I understood something profound.

Light does not spread in the slow, controlled way our minds sometimes expect.

Sometimes light explodes outward, planting seeds far beyond where we can see.

Many of us underestimate the impact of the light we carry.

A kind word.
A moment of guidance.
A class we teach.
A conversation we share.

We may believe we are offering something small.

But the truth is that every moment of genuine light plants a seed.

And we rarely see where those seeds travel.

Some may grow immediately.

Some may rest quietly in the soil of someone’s life for years before they bloom.

But once the seed of light has been planted, it has already begun its work.

Our role is not to control where the seeds land.

Our role is simply to allow the sunflower to open.

The vision reminded me that we are all part of something much larger than we realize.

Every act of kindness.
Every moment of wisdom shared.
Every piece of light offered to the world.

It spreads farther than we will ever know.

Sometimes all it takes is one sunflower.

And suddenly an entire field begins to grow.

Journal Prompts

Take a few quiet moments and reflect on these questions:

• Where in my life might I be underestimating the light I carry?

• What seeds of kindness, wisdom, or encouragement have I planted recently?

• Is there something I feel called to share with the world but have been holding back?

• Where might spirit be asking me to trust that the seeds I have planted are already growing?

• If I allowed my own sunflower to fully open, what would I share more freely?

Affirmations

You may wish to sit quietly and repeat one or more of these affirmations:

My light naturally plants seeds of growth and healing.

I trust that the wisdom I share reaches exactly where it is meant to go.

Every act of kindness creates ripples far beyond what I can see.

I allow my light to shine freely and without hesitation.

The seeds I plant today will bloom in perfect time.

May the seeds of light you plant today grow in ways you may never fully see.

With gratitude for the journey,
Theri
