“The Whisper in the Buzz”
Sometimes Spirit doesn’t arrive in blazing light or booming words.
Sometimes it shows up as a fly — buzzing in your ear, refusing to be ignored, circling until you finally pause long enough to ask, “What are you trying to tell me?”
Reflection
We love to imagine divine messages as grand, obvious, and wrapped in angelic feathers. Yet more often, Spirit speaks through the subtle and the small. A sound, a repetition, a pattern that keeps landing in our awareness. The “little things” — a persistent fly, a flickering light, a song lyric looping in your head — often hold the most direct line to our inner truth.
But we miss them because we label them as annoyances instead of nudges.
This week, a fly wouldn’t leave me alone. For a day and a half, it followed me from room to room, landing just close enough to pull my attention. I swatted, sighed, and muttered about my uninvited guest — until finally I stopped and asked, “Spirit, what are you trying to show me through this tiny messenger?”
The answer wasn’t about the fly itself, but about me. The buzz mirrored my own scattered energy — too many thoughts, too many small things humming at once. The fly wasn’t pestering me; it was reflecting me.
Guidance
When the small things seem to irritate you, pause and look beneath the surface.
Ask:
What energy in me is this mirroring?
Is there something I’m ignoring that needs clearing, simplifying, or realignment?
What am I resisting that wants my presence?
Sometimes Spirit will use the smallest messenger to wake us from the biggest distraction. The fly, the flicker, the repetition — they are not random. They are love in disguise, asking us to come back to presence.
You don’t always have to chase the meaning. Sometimes it’s enough to notice that Spirit is reaching for you at all.
Closing
The next time something small won’t leave you alone — a sound, a sign, a “pest” — breathe before reacting. There’s a whisper hiding in the buzz. Spirit doesn’t need volume to get your attention; it only needs your awareness.
May we remember that even the smallest visitors can carry the voice of the Divine.
May your path be lit with awareness and wonder.
With love and luminous grace,
Theri — Visionary Light Journey
