The Sacred Space Between Preparation and Revelation
What if the fog is hiding the work, not the way?
There are seasons when we can feel that something is changing, yet we cannot see what it is becoming. The ground beneath us may feel unfamiliar. The path ahead may disappear into fog. We may sense movement all around us while having no visible proof that we are moving anywhere at all.
This is often when fear begins whispering: Nothing is happening. You are stuck. You should have figured this out by now.
But what if none of that is true? What if the fog is not hiding the way? What if it is simply hiding the sacred work taking place before the way is ready to be revealed?
Throughout this past week, Spirit continued bringing me images of things that were changing before their final form could be seen.
I saw a landscape shifting beneath the surface. The ground itself was moving, but nothing was collapsing. A rocket sat quietly in its cradle, fully prepared but not yet launched. Fog slowly spread across the landscape, obscuring some of what was there without erasing it. The rocket was not broken. It was not abandoned. It was not waiting to be built. It was ready. It simply had not reached its moment of launch.
In another meditation, I found myself inside a womb. I was not a baby. I was fully myself, but I was being held within a place of darkness, protection, and formation. That image reminded me that there is a difference between being stuck and being in gestation. From the outside, both may look still. But one is stagnant. The other is becoming.
Then I was shown a large piece of frosted glass. I could make out the shapes of furniture on the other side, but I could not see them clearly. Something was there. I simply could not see it well enough to understand it yet.
Finally, I found myself near a vortex where spacecraft were descending and ascending. In my meditative state, I could see them clearly. At the same time, I understood that if I had been standing there in ordinary human form, they would have been invisible to me. Activity was taking place whether human eyes could perceive it or not.
That may be one of the most important reminders Spirit has given me this week: Our inability to see the work does not mean the work is not happening. We often measure progress by what has become visible. Did the answer arrive? Did the door open? Did the relationship change? Did the opportunity appear? Did the confusion finally clear?
When we cannot point to something tangible, we may assume that Spirit has gone quiet or that we have somehow missed our direction. But not every transformation begins where we can see it. Seeds open beneath the soil. A child grows within the darkness of the womb. Roots deepen before new branches appear. A rocket may sit silently while every system is being prepared for launch.
There are times when Spirit gives us the next step. There are also times when Spirit asks us to remain present while something larger is being arranged. That waiting space can be uncomfortable because we cannot control what we cannot see. We may try to force an answer, push through the fog, or keep struggling with something that refuses to change.
This week, I was shown rocks that I had been instructed to grind into powder. My first thought was that the task would be nearly impossible. The rocks were too hard. The work would take forever. Then I realized that I did not have to continue fighting against the rocks in their current form. I placed my hand over them and changed them into something softer. Only then could they be ground down. The task did not change. My relationship with the task changed.
Sometimes the answer is not more effort. Sometimes we are being asked to step outside the structure we have been standing in. Sometimes we need to stop fighting the hardness of what is in front of us and allow another possibility to reveal itself. Sometimes we need to stop demanding the entire map and trust the small amount of light we can already see through the fog.
You may not know exactly what is forming in your life right now. You may only see vague shapes through frosted glass. You may feel the ground shifting before you know what the new foundation will hold. You may sense that something is preparing to launch without knowing when that moment will arrive.
None of this means you have lost your way. It may mean you are standing in the sacred space between preparation and revelation. If you are in that space now, try not to rush yourself into an answer simply because uncertainty feels uncomfortable.
Ask yourself:
What if I am not stuck? What if something is still forming? What if Spirit is working beyond what I can currently see? What if the fog is protecting the process instead of blocking my path?
You do not have to see everything to trust that something is there. You do not have to understand every change occurring beneath the surface. You do not have to force the rocket to launch before every part is ready.
There will be a moment when the fog begins to lift. There will be a moment when the shapes behind the glass become clear. There will be a moment when what has been forming quietly is ready to emerge.
Until then, honor the space you are in. Preparation is not nothing. Gestation is not stagnation. The unseen is not the same as the absent. Something may already be moving. Something may already be changing. Something may already be preparing to reveal itself.
Until the fog lifts, trust the sacred work unfolding beyond what you can see.
You are not lost.
You are becoming.
With love and light,
Theri
